Powerful opening to Clear The Haze. Ollie Twist and Kastro rhyme back and forth over a tight beat with some Kill Bill kung-fu samples.

This track is about war. We went to great lengths early on to express our disapproval of the war in Iraq. Back then it was unpopular, but we could see through the lies before most. In retrospect, "Bayonetes" is ahead of it's time from a lyrical and musical perspective. It's a warning.

Released on the Rhyme Skeme EP "The First Wind" in '03. Still to date one of the most commercial and entertaining RS tracks. This track was always a staple at any live performance. Ladies, we dedicate this track to you sincerely.

RS track featuring all Rhyme Skeme members with special guest vocals from Kristen Laurence. This is one of the rare moments in Rhyme Skeme recording history where the idea was to just have fun. It's a cool track that grows on you to the point of embaressment. Some great lines injected with some comedy are also present.

Kastro flowing on a Twist beat that has a touch of Erick Sermon in the production. The lyrics are simply amazing and race all over the track, not an easy one to memorize by any means, but a tight hook.

This track was one of the first tracks recorded under the name "Nucleus". It is currently on a CD entitled "BPositive Cuts" which was never released. Many of these BPositive songs will be available only on this "Xklusive" section of the website. For true Rhyme Skeme hip hoppers and fans alike, these are gems that have only been heard by Rhyme Skeme members for the most part. After hearing the final "Nucleus" album, going back and listening to many of these B-sides reveal another side of the Nucleus, on a different mission and with different intentions.

This is a number about the extreme conditions of slavery. Twist actually wrote the lyrics to this track in a college history class. It's about Twist fighting back with the slaves against the slave owners. It's also about putting yourself in the shoes of those who have no rights or freedom. I guess if you could go back in time "what would you do to help to the oppresed?" is the point of the track.

Solo Twist track on "Razor Cuts". Not only is this track about establishing yourself and forgiveness, it tells a nice little story of some of the endeavors Twist and the RS have undertaken to stay together through tough times.

RS members venting on fake ass people who talk shit that's not true. The title has been used a million times before, but the track has the original Rhyme Skeme twist.

A battle between good and evil as described by Ollie Twist. Wrestling with your faith is a good thing, expressing your beliefs and doubts about sciences and spirtual matters through music feels great. That's all it is, plain and simple. Released this joint in 2002 during the Poet era (a 2-disc installment of Ollie Twist's solo work during the creation of Rhyme Skeme's The Sun Never Sets.

This track features a couple of hot verses from Ollie Twist and a catchy hook from Kastro. Before the Frequency 420 name came to be, Ollie Twist and Kastro were working temp until the group name New Breed, this was one of the original tracks. Life has it's ups and downs, highlights and consequences, I think this song is about persiting through tough times.

Enough to bring tears to your eyes. I could write about 5 pages on this track alone and what it took to make it possible. This track is one of the most honest and straight from the heart I have ever heard. BIG FUCKIN SHOUT OUT TO PHENOM from Mental Instruments on this one! We gotcha back kid!

AH, the good ole' dayz. Our childhood, dreams and reflections on the past. "Life's Lessons" has a powerful emotional feel to it. This track almost got cut from "Organized Rhyme" because it was a lot more chill than the majority of tracks on the album. Looking back, I'm glad it was not. Doobe's verse is incredible, I remember being in the lab when we worked on that track together.  Feel free to follow along with lyrics.

This is the weed smoking national anthem as far as I'm concerned. Kas touches up the track beautifully with verses and chorus weaving throughout the track, as Twist demonstrates his skill on the wah-wah pedal in reggae fashion. A collaboration made in heaven.

This is a remix of "Mind Blown" from Kastro's album "Clear The Haze". The funny thing is, this was actually the first version of the song. Great track, some like it better than the LP version which can be viewed on our "albums" page.

Twist questioning the powers that be over melancholy strings. "Misled" is a sad song basically just stating some of the less fortunate realities we live with on Earth. There are quite a few sattires on the track, ranging from justice to medicare to religion. It's a deep cut. "Misled" dates back to 2002 during the Poet* era. *Poet was a two volume series Twist recorded in 2002 and never released. Some of those songs will appear scattered thoughout the site as time passes.

Ruthless slow tempo BANGER from Organized Rhyme featuring Shadi, Twist and DoobE. This was one of the first cuts recorded for the entire record. It was almost like a reunion of the three MC's laying down this track. It had been years since we recorded (this combination of Rhyme Skeme artists) that it almost felt brand new and helped get the ball rolling for the project. This was DoobE's debut back from the military.

A classic featuring practically the entire unit. The lyrics on this track are simply amazing. This song is both inspiring and motivating. Rhyme Skeme headlined the Urban Youth League shows in Hartford a couple times performing this track live. "Revolutionaries" was actually written and catered for a younger audience, is entirely clean and was meant to be positive. After the performance, the League told us they would like to use this as their theme song. The deal never materialized, but we got our point across. Honor and respect are important.

Greatest Hits track from back in the day, 2002 Razor Cuts release. Steve Nyce and Ollie Twist flow back and forth about smoking weed over Twist's live guitar tracks. This track has never lost its luster and is still performed live at shows. Rise and Shine, burn a lethal lime dime.

This was the FUN track, almost on the brink of comedy, but done tastefully. Heavily distorted guitar tracks make this one a rocker for sure. This was also a big fan favorite, especially after a few drinks at the show. Somehow, there's a political edge squezzed in to the track without making light of the situation.

Produced by Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Remedy Ross, "Reality Strikes" is quite possibly the very best Rhyme Skeme track ever recorded to date. Through arrangements with music company Mental Instruments the production was made available and then recorded at Twistblade Studios with Remedy dropping the hook that was previously recorded. In a way "Reality Strikes" has become the overall Rhyme Skeme theme song, track #3 on the Rhyme Skeme milestone Organized Rhyme. Without question this is the most played Rhyme Skeme track. The lyrics are unbelievable and on an infinitely political level.
