RHYME SKEME PRODUCTIONS
The Wind Below

Released on November 1st, 2003, The First Wind is the first entry of 2 EP's that were released prior to the Organized Rhyme project. The title was derived from the writings of the revolutionary Marcos, the word "wind" basically meaning movement. In conjunction this was the first movement of the group's new and improved sound with it's latest addition of Kastro. Each and every track on this EP is an absolute classic, revealing many of the different styles displayed from all the members. The music is not meant to be intimately structured, rather just an mc-fest,verse after verse throughout every track. The First Wind is a very important entry in the RS library and captures the emotions and new life of the Rhyme Skeme. It's a 5-star EP.

The First Wind

Rhyme Skeme - The First Wind

$5.52

The first promotional EP to the RS epic "Organized Rhyme". Gritty and old school but classic from top to bottom. Released in 2003 and recorded on a digital 8-track with relatively primitive equipment by today's standards, the overall sonic quality and song structure is impressive to say the least. Orchestrated samples and deep bass lines are looped behind rugged but also thoughtful lyrical content. Website exclusive for the true fan.

Track 02 on The First Wind EP. I really feel this was around the time when Rhyme Skeme really started to develop their sound. This track was rocked really hard at our shows as well.

Revolutionaries (Rhyme Skeme) [4:29]
A classic featuring practically the entire unit. The lyrics on this track are simply amazing. This song is both inspiring and motivating. Rhyme Skeme headlined the Urban Youth League shows in Hartford a couple times performing this track live. "Revolutionaries" was actually written and catered for a younger audience, is entirely clean and was meant to be positive. After the performance, the League told us they would like to use this as their theme song. The deal never materialized, but we got our point across. Honor and respect are important.
